An important part of the forestry industry is logistics. Without the logistics department, mills would not be able to create new products, as the old ones would still be taking up space on the floor.

One of my favorite parts of working at Resolute Forest Products is that everybody I have run into so far has been friendly and happy to sit down to have a discussion about forestry, and John Lafave is no different.

If you spend every day in the bush, why not take advantage of a lucrative opportunity? Northern Saskatchewan's forests are ripe with berries, mushrooms and plants for the picking.

I got my first impression of Rod, a woodlands supervisor at Tolko, during my internship training when I overheard him discussing the merits of a day at the beach: “I’d rather be doing anything else. I don’t get it. You’re just lying on dirt.”

When I met Chad, I found it amusing how he always seemed to have a piece of grass to roll between his teeth, even when there was no grass to be found.

Let's start with... well, why not Andy, since he's clearly not paying attention. He looks like he had an interesting summer. Tell us how you got those freaky tan lines. Or maybe that thousand-yard stare? Is that bug spray I smell?

My Extended Sustainability Co-op at Canfor!

I have been very excited to share this story as it’s one of the most memorable experiences from my time at Canfor and could not have happened without the support of my managers and some amazing colleagues. I like to call this story “the goat lick trip”.
