
As Government Relations and Policy Advisor, Austin plays a key role in advancing FPAC’s federal advocacy and policy priorities. He supports the development of government relations strategies, engages with federal decision-makers, and contributes to policy analysis and positioning on issues impacting Canada’s forest sector.
Before joining FPAC in 2025, Austin gained valuable experience on Parliament Hill as a Legislative Assistant. In this role, he supported key legislative initiatives, engaged with stakeholders on policy issues, and worked to navigate the processes of federal decision-making. His time on the Hill provided firsthand insight into the legislative process and strengthened his ability to deliver impactful advocacy.
Originally from Calgary, Austin has been a lifelong enthusiast of politics and international relations.
